Black Widow is only Scarlett Johansson without gadgets. Such aspects make them humans, unlike many DC superheroes. Essentially, making non-human superheroes means they’re out of bounds for humans. The discrepancy is that DC makes superheroes fight humans and Marvel makes them fight aliens.
