WALMART’S STREAMING PLATFORM VUDU LAUNCHES TRAILER FOR FIRST ORIGINAL SERIES MR. MOM

Greg steps into the role of stay-at-home dad after his wife Megan lands her dream job. Having no prior experience managing a busy household and the schedules of two small children, Greg must find balance to keep it all running smoothly.
Based on the classic eighties hit film written by John Hughes and starring Michael Keaton, this series is a modern retelling of Mr. Mom. Megan (Andrea Anders) and Greg (Hayes MacArthur) are at a parenting crossroads. After five years raising their two kids at home, Megan has unexpectedly landed her dream job. Greg’s career is anything but a dream job, so after several failed attempts at securing childcare he abruptly quits in order to take his turn as the stay-at-home parent. He’s thrust headlong into a world of tantrums, diapers and cheese sticks, all while finally attempting to get his start-up off the ground. Megan quickly finds out just how much has changed as she reenters a workplace filled with over-eager millennials and strange new terms like Slack and hot-desking. It’ll take all the patience these two parents can muster as they try to raise their kids, make ends meet, and find a little time for their marriage.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS:

GREG (late 30s) — Greg is a modern man. Mostly. He hates quinoa and selfies, but cares about his shoes. Unlike his Mr. Mom predecessor he knows how to fold fitted sheets, vacuum the steps and make lunch for the kids. It’s just that he normally doesn’t have to. For the past five years Megan has been home with the kids while Greg worked in TV ad sales. Now that Megan is going back to work Greg thinks it’s the perfect time to finally launch his startup. Little does he know, working from home with two small kids is more than he can handle. Megan made homemaking look easy. And Greg has a lot to learn.
MEGAN (late 30s) — Megan is the rock of the Anderson family. The domestic Alpha. She’s the type of person who would never order groceries online because she likes to inspect each vegetable herself. She meal plans, keeps a color-coded family schedule and can tell you exactly when the kids got their immunizations. She’s also a whip-smart marketing exec who’s itching to get back in the action. The thing is, a lot has changed in the five years she’s been out of the workforce. She’s gotten older, and everyone else has gotten younger. She must now navigate her growing role at work while coming to terms with her dwindling role at home.
HANNAH (5) — Hannah is their five year-old daughter. She goes to pre-school for a few hours every other day, but is mostly home with Greg. She might be young, but she’s smart enough to know she can manipulate her dad into doing things Mom would never let her do. She’s very helpful with her little brother and like most older siblings she likes leading him into trouble to keep her golden child status.
ZACK (3) — Zack’s a bruising toddler who constantly throws challenges his parents’ way. His unpredictable behavior is what got him banned from neighborhood daycares, which means he’s all Greg’s problem now.
RILEY (early 30s) — Riley is Megan’s boss at the Agency. Driven, stylish and refreshingly blunt. She was Megan’s coordinator at another marketing firm before Megan left to have kids. But in those six years Riley’s ambition has led her to running her own company. Riley has always seen Megan as a mentor.
CHELSEA (late 20s) — Chelsea is Megan’s fast-living younger sister. She’s a youthful bounce board for Megan when it comes to contemporary work issues that Megan is clearly behind the curve on. She has no interest in slowing down for a steady boyfriend, much less starting a family. Chelsea encourages Megan to keep working hard, and not feel guilty about letting Greg take over the family duties.
SPENCER (mid 20s) – Millennial creative executive who works at the Agency. Spencer is full of self-confidence, which sometimes masks his lack of effort. He’s still in post-college party mode and popular with his younger co-workers. Riley looks his antics because she sees his potential. Spencer doesn’t think his creative team needs a Mom like Megan to look over them. But he will bask in the glory when Megan wins them accounts.
BLYTHE (mid 20s) – The other half of the creative exec team at the Agency. She’s quirky and a tad socially awkward, but can think quickly on her feet. Blythe has always looked at Spencer as her work husband, but now that Megan is establishing herself at the Agency, Blythe realizes she’ll have much more to gain by aligning herself with someone more experienced.
DARYL – The future of Greg’s start-up depends on Daryl, a worldly investor with a very different set of values.
