We Talk With Actress Erin O’Brien About Her New Horror Film ‘Clinton Road’

Erin O'Brien
Erin O’Brien is a film and television actor whose latest release is called Clinton Road. We had the opportunity to talk with her about the movie and a bit about her career. Her’s what she had to say.

Do you think it helps to be a horror movie fan, if you’re in one of them?

Erin O’Brien: Yes absolutely! I love horror films but they also scare the hell out of me at the same time. I think that helps me as an actor in horror films because the fear is very real and easy to tap into for me.

Clinton Road seems like a mix of genres though. Is that fair to say?

EO: I would say it’s horror / thriller.

And it’s based on a true story, right?

EO: It’s based on a number of scary legends and stories surrounding Clinton Road.

And did they film in the actual area!?

EO: Yes they did and that road definitely gave us all the chills. There was a very spooky energy there.

And your character – who is she? What makes her tick?

EO: I think she’s more of the fun friend of the group, up for anything. I also think she’s sweet and a good friend.

There are some huge names in this film, but I don’t think it gets any bigger than Ice T. What was it like working with such an icon?

EO: He’s incredible. I feel very lucky to have worked with him. He’s an icon for sure. He was so nice to everyone on set, and he was great in this film!

And one of the directors was “Jump Street” star Richard Grieco. Was it surreal working with ‘Booker’? What does he bring to the table?

EO: Richard was such a sweetheart. He was easy to work with and he’s just a really nice person. I grew up watching 21 Jump Street, so it was a big deal for me to get to work with him. He was very present and involved in everything on set. I truly enjoyed working with him.

And what else have you got coming up, Erin?

EO: In June I film Chronicle of a Serial Killer with Clinton Road director Steve Stanulis. It’s an awesome script and I can’t wait to get started on it. The movie stars DMX and Brendan Sexton. I’m really excited to work with them both.
