Antiquities is an up-coming comedy about a young man who, after his father’s death, searches to find who his dad was only to stumble onto himself.

Andrew J. West (Once Upon a TimeThe Walking Dead), Ashley Greene (Twilight and the five Twilight Saga films), Michaela Watkins (CasualThe House), Michael Gladis (Mad Men), and Academy Award-winner Mary Steenburgen (Book ClubLast Man on Earth) star in Antiquities, the ensemble comedy debut feature of Daniel Campbell.

Mortuus Pater Pictures, the feature’s Arkansas-based motion picture production company, released its official trailer for the film, which will have its World Premiere at Dances With Films at the TCL Chinese Theatres, 3rd floor, Hollywood and Highland at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, June 16th.

Antiquities was written by Campbell and Graham Gordy (True Detective – Season 3, Quarry), who also plays a supporting role in the film. In Antiquities, Walt (West) moves to his dad’s hometown, after his father’s death, to learn more about who his father was. He accepts a job at a local antique mall where he is introduced to the quirky world in which his dad grew up. There, Walt learns not only about his father, but a good bit about himself.
Troy Anthony Hogan, Roger Scott, Melanie Haynes, Jeff Bailey, and Jason Thompson round out the cast.
The feature was produced by Gary Newton, Gordy and Campbell under their Mortuus Pater Pictures banner. Kathryn Francis Tucker and Jayme Lemons were also producers.

About Mortuus Pater Pictures
Antiquities was born in 2013 when three Arkansas native filmmakers, (Daniel Campbell, Graham Gordy, and Gary Newton), who had made all or part of their entertainment industry livings elsewhere, came together to do what they love from where they love. Their production startup – Mortuus Pater Pictures – was launched to help create a successful and sustainable production industry to employ and inspire their fellow Arkansans. To that end, their first feature was 100% financed by Arkansans, with two-thirds of the cast and crew Arkansas residents or expatriates.
