Ready Player One is a 2018 action adventure film about the creator of a virtual reality world who releases a video in which he challenges all its users to find his Easter Egg.
The latest clip from the upcoming Steven Spielberg sci-fi adventure Ready Player One is out and boy is it a feast. The film, based on Ernie Cline‘s best-seller of the same name, follows young protagonist Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan), a huge fan of the late James Halliday (Mark Rylance) and his virtual-reality creation, the OASIS. When it’s announced that within that world lies an Easter Egg that gifts the finder with untold power, the hunt is on, however things are not as they seem and Wade and others face people who want more from the game than it seems.
This spectacular final trailer adds more to the near untold bevy of pop culture references of the 80s and 90s, including a few related to Spielberg himself, that will keep audiences searching like treasure hunters. From the Back to the Future DeLorean to a second appearance by The Iron Giant, this is going to be wild ride of nostalgia and mayhem. Did you spot Hello Kitty?
