Charlene Amoia, of TV hits How I Met Your Mother, Grey’s Anatomy, Bigger and films such s The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It stars in the new holiday movie A ROYAL CHRISTMAS ON ICE. We caught up briefly with her about the role. Premieres Nov 5 on GAC TV.
We’re going to start with the most obvious, what was your favorite Christmas movie growing up?
Growing up, maybe Home Alone… Now, my favorites are Elf, Love Actually and It’s a Wonderful Life.
Is there one you watched more times than another though?
Hmm… I think I’ve probably watched them all several times.
And any recent holiday movies that have interested you? Do you watch them when they’re on TV?
Yes, I think I’m going to give GAC tv’s 18 original Christmas movies a try this year!
Is your Xmas feature more drama than comedy?
It’s a light, sweet dramatic movie with a few fun comedic elements.
Is it important to you to do projects that are family oriented by nature?
It’s become more and more important as my taste is to watch movies that inspire me and leave me feeling hopeful.
Who do you play?
I play the best friend of an ice-skating champion who has closed herself off to love. My character is there always nudging her to give love a chance and stay open to all possibilities.
And where did it shoot?
It shot in my hometown of Buffalo, New York! I was so happy to be able to go home for a few weeks and see my family on my off days!
The Conjuring 4 was recently announced. Any chance you might be back for that one?
Oh, it’s not likely as each Conjuring movie takes an actual case that Ed and Lorraine Warren came in and helped with so I’m sure we will meet a whole new family that needed some supernatural help for this next movie.
