Holmes & Watson is a humorous take on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic mysteries featuring Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson.
Arguably one of the most retold and wrung-dry franchises in entertainment, the famous detective and his sidekick get the funny bone twist in this upcoming film from director Etan Cohen. Sticking to the proper era and taking jabs at modern pop culture, at least we’re in good hands, with Will Ferrell as Sherlock and John C. Reilly as Watson, the two already proving they are endlessly watchable. However, the trailer looks to be one of those ‘here’s all the good bits’ clips and it’s impossible not to think that it’s really got nowhere to go except little asides rather than anything weighty. Still, with Ralph Fiennes as Moriarty and Rebecca Hall as Dr. Grace Hart, there’s hope this could be a winner.
