For fans of the genre or not, it’s always very cool when filmmakers give us a little peak behind the creative process. While slasher horror has always been dominated by low-budget indie movies (1978’s Halloween stands as one of the most successful independent films of all time), what many might overlook is the commitment most make in creating believable monsters and villains.
Pitchfork, currently in release, is ultra-low budget but somehow looks like something bigger. Co-written, directed and produced by Emmy award nominee Glenn Douglas Packard, a new behind-the-scene featurette about how the film’s unique monster reveals in great detail about the process of creating, applying, and presenting the beast on camera.
