Yes. It’s time to watch Frank Darabont‘s much celebrated and critically-acclaimed prison thriller again, a sleeper hit that has become one of the most popular films of all time, often near the top of greatest movies ever made. Starring Tim Robbins as Andy Dufresne a husband sentenced to life for the murder of his wife, he ends up in a cruel prison run by an indifferent yet scheming warden (Bob Gunton) and befriends another lifer named Red (Morgan Freeman). Over the next twenty years, Andy struggles to acclimate, using his great skills with numbers to become favored for saving guards money at tax time and his interests in a library for fellow inmates. Meanwhile though, he has a plan, and even as he faces traumatizing hurdles, he commits to it, deciding to either get busy living or get busy dying. A sensitive and thoroughly engrossing story, this is also greatly emotional and ultimately very inspiring. A must watch.
