On Netflix Now: ‘Maggie’

Maggie is a 2015 post-apocalyptic horror movie about a father dealing with the a choice he must make about his teenage daughter.

A terrific story and a great performance make this a zombie movie unlike any you’ve seen before.

Nope, it’s not a ‘Schwarzenegger’ film in the strictest sense, and will surely throw off those hoping to see him tear up a zombie horde.

I’m going to say the name Arnold Schwarzenegger and right away a whole slew of action movies are going to jump into your mind, which is testament to the man’s staying power. What you might not know and may have missed is that a few years back he starred in a rather quiet and unconventional zombie film that for those that did catch it, divided them pretty emphatically. I was on the plus side, believing director Henry Hobson‘s film a moving and stylistic experience that allowed the big man to spread some dramatic wings. Sure, it’s not a typical undead thriller and there isn’t much action per se, the movie much more a character-driven story about a father and his daughter. If you’re looking for something different and would like to see Schwarzenegger do something wholly unexpected (and you really ought to), then watch this tonight. I’m betting you won’t be disappointed.
